Universal Design for Learning workshop

image showing three brain networks - recognition, strategic and affective
Join us on Thursday, March 26th at 3:30pm in room 430 as Tyler Watts leads a workshop on Universal Design for Learning (UDL), a framework for thinking about course design to engage all students.

What is UDL? UDL takes scientific insights into how humans learn and seeks to optimize teaching and learning for all students - using the background, strengths, needs and interests of each student in your classroom. To get a taste for UDL principles, see this introductory video.

We’ll be looking at what UDL is, examples of UDL principles in use, and brainstorming steps of implementing the principles in your own classroom.
