BSC Instructor nominated for state award

Associate Professor Barry Reynolds

Barry Reynolds, Associate Professor of Computer Information Systems, was recently selected as the College-wide nominee for the Rick Perkins Award for Excellence in Technical Instruction. The award honors technical education’s most outstanding instructors who make significant contributions to their field through innovation and leadership. Nominees from the college-wide level are considered by a regional level committee and if successful are nominated for statewide consideration. The statewide winner of the award will carry the title of the Technical College System of Georgia Instructor of the Year.


Reynolds has taught in the field of computer information systems for more than 12 years and has been recognized on numerous occasions for his contributions to the academic and student life of the campus. He was recently featured for his work teaching computer skills to 5th graders at Hutto Middle School.
